Amanda Imamura is the drummer for metal band Sinaya. She was born in Brazil but grew up in Japan, where she still lives to this day. She has been playing drums professionally since she was 20 years old.

In 2009, she was a member of her first progressive metal band, Drunk Vision, in which she was part of the pre-production of the band’s first album. She also played R&B, Funk Music and Soul Music styles, and then was invited by drummer Patrick Grün, from the German band Caliban, to play the song “The Beloved And The Hatred” with the band at a concert in the city of São Paulo. The invitation came after she recorded a cover of the song and generated thousands of views on her old YouTube channel, even appearing as a highlight on the website.

In 2013, she was the 1st place as a finalist (over 18 category) in the American Contest Hit Like A Girl organized by DRUM! Magazine & Tom Tom Magazine. Also in 2013, Amanda was nominated in the Musician/Instrumentalist category by the Press Awards Japan 2013.

In 2014, she was invited to film the promotional video for the launch of the compact drums “Cocktail-Jam kit” by TAMA Drums. In 2016, she signed a contract to become an artist of the brand at Hoshino Gakki’s office in Seto, Aichi, Japan.

In 2016, she began working with music producer Robert Regonati (Ambassador of Culture for the City of Ishikawa, Japan – CEO of the artistic agency Cube Japan.)

In 2018, she worked with singer and music producer Glauber Felipe, supporting singer Gabriela Rocha’s tour for the first time in Japan in December 2019.

In 2021, she was asked to join Sinaya as a part of their new lineup.
